This policy explains what Hearthmaster collects when you use this website and the game, why we use it and who else handles it. We do not sell your data.

This website and the waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we store your email and language with Resend, only to tell you when the beta opens.
Cloudflare hosts this website and protects it from bots, which involves processing your IP address and technical details of your browser.
We use no advertising or analytics. We set no cookies of our own; your browser remembers the language you chose. Cloudflare's bot check works under its own terms.
Your account
You need an account to play. We store your email, nickname, language, plan and how much you have played, so you can sign in and so your plan's limits apply.
Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Your session lasts up to 90 days from when you last used it, and your browser or phone stores what it needs to keep you signed in and remember your settings.
Your voice
You play Hearthmaster by speaking. While you play, what you say reaches our voice service and a speech recognition provider that turns it into text. The game only uses the microphone if you allow it. We do not save the recordings.
To tell apart the people playing at one table, we create a voiceprint: a numerical representation of how each voice sounds. It may count as biometric data. It exists only during the game and we do not save it. If you do not want your voice processed, do not use the microphone.
Your stories
A storyteller built with AI tells the story. To do that, the text of what is said at the table, your characters' names and the story are sent to AI model providers, and some scenes may be sent to an image provider to illustrate them.
We keep logs of games on our server, with what was said and narrated, to run the game and improve it. These logs are not linked to your account, but what you say could identify you, so do not share sensitive personal details while playing. They do not currently have a fixed deletion date.
Payments
Payments are handled by the App Store, Google Play, Paddle or RevenueCat. We never see your card details. We receive your plan, when it ends, the store you bought it from, and records of those purchases.
Who else handles your data
We share data only with the providers that make the game work: Cloudflare (website and bot protection), Resend (email and waitlist), OpenRouter and the AI model and speech providers it connects us to, an image provider, RevenueCat, Paddle, Apple, Google and Contabo (our server). These providers may process data outside your country.
How long we keep your data
Your email stays on the waitlist until you ask us to remove it.
Your account is kept until you delete it or ask us to. Deleting it removes your account, sessions, plan and play records. Purchase records and backups may be kept for longer. Game logs are not deleted with your account because they are not linked to it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your data, and object to how we use it. Depending on where you live, you can also complain to your data protection authority. Write to [email protected].
Children
Hearthmaster is for people aged 13 or over. If you think a child under 13 has given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date.
